Program Associate

General Description of the Role:
The Program Associate will provide administrative and programmatic support to Cross Border Syria Program. The position will report directly to the Cross Border Program Manager.
The Program Associate will also contribute to RI’s communications program and program monitoring and evaluation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support project start-up, implementation, and close-out activities following program strategy, donors’ requirements and RI policies and procedures
  • Follow up with the Team and make sure that activities are running smoothly and efficiently in all supported facilities, including communication between RI staff, facility managers and beneficiaries
  • Programmatic and program quality follow up with Team inside Syria, supported facilities and program delivery sites, communicating gaps in capacity and program delivery to Program Manager.
  • Support program in data management: working with field teams to draft/coordinate data collection instruments, timelines for M&E activities, data collection methodology, and databases for team use
  • Assist in preparation of internal and external project reporting, including monthly and quarterly program updates, and other whenever needed
  • Participate in meetings, documenting relevant information and action points for the program
  • Maintain program electronic filing system and follow up on missing/incomplete information required for program tracking
  • Analyze and revise the data from the field, check accuracy and conduct analysis, crosschecking the data with analysis and reports delivered by Team Members
  • Support in oral and written translations English-Arabic and vice versa
  • Provide other administrative, project, and M&E support with ad-hoc requests from Cross Border Program Manager
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or extensive work experience relevant to this position
  • Experience with integrated health, private sector health programming, capacity building, monitoring and evaluation, and/or knowledge management desired
  • Experience conducting monitoring & evaluation in humanitarian relief and development sectors
  • Experience in the application of statistical methods, including qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and field research experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook/Exchange, Windows operating systems
  • Excellent oral and written English language skills, native Arabic speaker
  • Excellent writing skills – must be able to draft and edit meeting minutes and communicate by email and write, edit and finalize documents
  • Attention to detail –ability to track and process multiple details simultaneously and accurately
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a small staff and to adapt to needs of the program
